Bad Astronomy
Astronomer Phil Plait explains space news and debunks bad science
About
Phil Plait has been writing Bad Astronomy for decades, originally as a blog built to debunk moon landing conspiracy theories and bad science reporting, and it's carried that same mission into newsletter form: real astronomy news explained clearly, with little patience for nonsense dressed up as science.
He's an astronomer by training, and it shows in how confidently he can go from a new exoplanet discovery to correcting a viral claim about an "asteroid the size of a bus." It lands irregularly, whenever there's something worth writing about, rather than on a fixed schedule.
