Film Comment
Serious film criticism from the Film at Lincoln Center team.
About
Film Comment comes out of Film at Lincoln Center, and it reads like it: long reviews, real engagement with craft, and none of the quick verdicts you'd get from a rating out of five. This is criticism for people who already care about cinema as a medium.
Issues mix reviews, interviews with directors and cinematographers, and coverage running from festival premieres to overlooked older films getting a second look. Film students and serious cinephiles will get the most out of it; casual moviegoers might find it a bit much.
