Rock Paper Shotgun
PC-focused games journalism known for personality-driven criticism
About
Rock Paper Shotgun has covered PC gaming since 2007 with a voice that's more literary and personality-driven than most games press: writers with distinct perspectives, critical reviews that aren't afraid of a strong opinion, and a focus specifically on PC rather than console gaming.
Its tone sets it apart from more neutral gaming news sites, favoring writing that's genuinely enjoyable on its own terms. Best for PC gamers who want criticism with a point of view, not just patch notes and release dates.
