Slow Boring
Policy over vibes.
About
Slow Boring is Matthew Yglesias arguing policy on the merits: what would actually work, rather than chasing whatever the political mood happens to be that week. Housing, energy, immigration, macroeconomics; each gets the same treatment, a clearly stated position backed by data, often out of step with what's fashionable on either side.
The name is basically the mission statement. Substantive, occasionally contrarian arguments, delivered without much regard for how they'll play on social media. If you want a wonk's honest opinion even when it's inconvenient for his own side, that's who this is for.
