Organic Growth (Social, SEO, Word of Mouth)

9 min read

I get asked how AI For Developers went from zero to more than 40,000 subscribers in about a year, and people are usually waiting for one answer: a viral post, a big shoutout, a growth hack. There wasn't one. What actually happened is less exciting and more useful to you: I picked a topic with real and growing demand, I showed up consistently, and I used the free distribution channels that were actually available in 2025 and 2026 instead of the ones that used to work in 2019. That last part matters more than people give it credit for. The organic growth playbook has genuinely changed, and a lot of the advice still floating around online is describing a version of the internet that doesn't fully exist anymore.
