Astrobites
Grad students summarize new astronomy papers.
About
Astrobites is written by astronomy and astrophysics grad students who summarize freshly published research papers for undergraduates and curious non-specialists. Each post walks through a single paper's motivation, methods, and findings, and you don't need a physics degree to follow along.
That format makes it unusually good for readers who actually want to understand new astronomical research, not just hear that a discovery happened somewhere. The project has run for years under a rotating cast of contributors, which keeps the writing fresh and gives it a classroom feel that newsroom coverage of the same beat doesn't have.
