Newcomer

Newcomer, written by Eric Newcomer, covers venture capital and the startup industry with the kind of sourced, on-the-record reporting that's increasingly rare in a crowded field of tech newsletters. Newcomer built his reputation covering tech at Bloomberg and Business Insider before going independent, and the newsletter carries that same reporting standard.

Editions often break news on funding rounds, VC firm dynamics, or startup controversies, paired with Newcomer's own read on what a given story means for the broader venture ecosystem. It's aimed at people who work in or around venture capital and want reporting, not just curated links.
